A Pleasurable, Relaxing Way to Lose Weight: Diet Green Tea

By Remedy Natural

Modern diet regimens tend to be stress-inducing and a lot of hard work. You either have to sweat buckets or you have to deprive yourself of stuff that you like the most. Certainly many fat burning options make weight loss daunting! But if you want a diet option that brings the Zen rather than throws it out the window, then diet green tea is the thing for you.

Diet green tea is not a new discovery; it has been around for many centuries. However, it is only recently that diet green tea has caught the attention of western cultures, as these cultures tend to be coffee-lovers rather than tea-enthusiasts. But the more our lifestyles become harried and harassed, the more de-stressing options become worthy of a closer look.

What can we find in diet green tea?

Diet green tea is an infusion made from the leaves of a plant called camellia sinensis. This tea plant is native to China and many of its closer neighbors. Like most teas, brewing is the best way to produce diet green tea. However special brewing procedures are necessary if you want a potent and effective health drink. Too much heating can cause diet green tea’s active ingredients to break down.

How does diet green tea work?

Diet green tea promotes fat oxidation. This means that the active ingredients in diet green tea encourage your body to use up all the fat that it has stored. Fat oxidation makes sure that you spend more energy or fat in your daily activities than you normally would.

This effect of diet green tea is important because our body’s natural tendency is to store energy (as fat) for emergencies. This is especially true when your body has been through lots of stress, if you rarely exercise or if you’re over 30 years old. Your body is also more prone to store fat if you have irregular eating and sleeping habits or are prone to yo-yo dieting.

Most of commercial diet pills available in the market are also geared towards promoting fat oxidation. The main difference with them and diet green tea is that diet green tea is all natural. You don’t have to worry about alarming side effects due to complex formulations. You can also be assured that that way diet green tea increases your system’s energy consumption is a way that’s compatible with your body.

A cup or two of diet green tea, whether taken iced or hot, is already a great weight loss option. There’s very little exertion that goes with this method. But more so, diet green tea has a soothing flavor to it. Take it after a long day, after a good meal or simply when you want to unwind—and you have a pleasurable and motivating way to shed those pounds.
